Hygienic, high catchability, catch all types of flying insects, which are attracted by UV-A light and pheromones.
Wasps buzz around the cake on the coffee table in the garden, and many people panic. Flies, however, are just observed as annoying - and are only scared away. Flies are however much more hazardous as contaminators of germs. Hygiene and health are threatened. A modern style to keep the living and working spaces free of flies and other flying insects are UV lamps with adhesive technology. Ultraviolet light ( "black-light"), attracts the flying insects from a large distance, an adhesive film - with a special attractant - in the immediate vicinity of the UV fluorescent tube is the last "resort" for them. Even the slightest touch by small insects, fruit flies etc. and they are caught by the glueborad and killed.
Glue-trap devices operate hygienic, quiet and odorless, and on top of that, have a very high catch-quota! The principle: Enticed by the for human and animal harmless UV-A light (wavelength of 365 nm) the flying insects are cuaght in a non-toxic adhesive film. The "saturated" adhesive glueboard is disposed of and replaced by fresh one.
Advantages of this technology:
- Insects / flies are attracted from a greater distance by the UV radiation (light trap).
- "Smaller" lamps look nice and are particularly well suited for living rooms, offices, catering (restaurants, hotels) and food stores. The can be inconspicuously integrated in the existing lighting/funishing ( 'indirect lighting").
- The adhesive film is discretley attached. With many lamps the trapped insects are usually not visible for others. The insects / flies are attracted to the adhesive film and detained on the area (sticky-trap)
- Silent catching and killing.
- No "busting" of the insects / flies through contact of high voltage grids.
- Therefore applicable in hygienically sensitive areas (catering, kitchens, food establishments, food stores with bulk goods, confectioneries, etc.).
- By eliminating the high voltage grid also applicable in EX-Protection-areas (with simultaneous electrical shielding).
- The adhesive surfaces also provide a proof of flight of insects and make it possible to identify them.
